Florida Mold Services was built for exactly that reality. We inspect, sample and remediate — with thermal imaging, moisture meters, lab-analyzed testing and IICRC S520 remediation practices. Now offering water damage restoration so we can address the source, not just the symptom.
Important: Florida law (§ 468.8419) does not allow one company to perform both the mold assessment and the mold remediation on the same property. We offer both services, but only separately — whichever side of the job we handle, we'll point you to a trusted independent provider for the other.

Do I need mold testing after a leak?

Yes. A leak can hide moisture that fuels mold in walls, ceilings, insulation and floors. Mold testing after a leak detects spores, identifies types and levels, locates hidden contamination, and guides targeted remediation. Timely testing protects health and prevents structural damage.
How much does mold testing cost?

We offer multiple options to suit your situation, starting at $250 for a basic inspection. More complex properties or additional samples may cost more — we'll quote you before any work begins.
Is mold dangerous?

Mold isn't just unsightly — it's hazardous. It releases spores that trigger allergies, asthma, and respiratory or skin irritation. Young children, seniors, and immunocompromised people face serious risk from heavy exposure. Mold also damages drywall, wood and insulation, causing rot and lowered property value. Prompt inspection, moisture control and professional removal are essential.

Can you do my mold assessment and the remediation?

No — and by law no Florida company can. Under Florida Statute § 468.8419, a licensed mold assessor cannot perform mold remediation on the same property, and a remediator cannot perform the assessment. We offer both services, but always separately: if we do your inspection and sampling, we'll refer you to an independent licensed remediator, and if another company assessed your property, we can handle the remediation.
